Zoom IQ Introduces AI-Powered Meeting Summaries and Chat Suggestions

Zoom IQ is introducing AI-powered meeting summaries and chat suggestions to its video platform, making it easier for employees to catch up on missed meetings and increase productivity in the hybrid workplace. The features are available to users of Zoom One, which includes the existing business subscriptions Enterprise Plus, Enterprise, Business Plus, Business and Pro, as well as legacy plans Enterprise Named Host, Enterprise Active Host, Zoom Meetings Enterprise, Zoom Meetings Business, and Zoom Meetings Pro.

Meeting Summaries

The meeting summaries are generated without the need for recording, making it much easier for employees to catch up on a missed meeting. The summaries are generated at the request of the meeting manager, who can then forward the document via chat or email. This allows employees to quickly catch up on a missed meeting in a few minutes, instead of having to watch the entire meeting again.

Chat Suggestions

AI is also making its way into the Zoom chat, giving users suggestions about possible replies to incoming chat messages. The technology works through OpenAI, the organization behind ChatGPT. Zoom plans to further integrate AI, allowing users to compose emails with context about previous telephone conversations, meetings and email correspondence.
Price information after the test period is not yet known, and the functions are currently only available in English.
