Apple Vision Pro: The Future of Augmented and Virtual Reality

Imagine: in front of you is a giant screen, Avatar is shown in 3D, the mail is open on the left hand, you can look at Telegram on the right, news is crawling from above, stock quotes are being updated, charts are moving, and you yourself are sitting on the push. This is the future according to Apple, and only six months and $3,500 separates you from it.
Rumors that Apple is about to show an augmented and virtual reality helmet have been circulating for years. It was all the more strange to see that yes, indeed, here he is in front of us – exactly the way everyone imagined and how they painted on amateur renders.
If the public is shocked by something, it is at a price. Comparisons immediately began: Meta Quest 3 will be sold for $ 500, PS VR2 costs 550, even for fancy Quest Pro and Vive XR Elite they ask for no more than one and a half thousand. And here is 3500. Isn’t it crazy?
With Apple gadgets, this is always the case: there are competitors, but somehow it doesn’t work out to compare directly. Vision Pro screens have a total of 23 million pixels – 2-3 times more than modern helmets. And, judging by the reviews, these are not just show-offs, but the difference between the impossibility and the ability to work comfortably with the text.
Add a desktop-caliber processor, an insane amount of cameras outside and inside the helmet, custom lenses, unusual headphones, the sound quality and volume of which were so emphasized in the presentation. Also this screen in front, broadcasting the user’s eyes, as if the helmet is transparent. A complete feeling that you are looking at a heaped up supercar that has little in common with the models that will then drive on the road.
Luxury, of course, will be cut. Instead of aluminum, they will take plastic, remove the mechanical twist, simplify the strap, learn how to replace half of the cameras with algorithms; perhaps even the frontal helmet will be replaced with a simpler indicator. The battery will be put inside or will be cynically sold separately. And here he is mass product for 990 greens.

The Killer Features of Vision Pro

Something else is interesting here. Apple Vision Pro is an AR / VR helmet, at the presentation of which virtual reality was almost not shown and augmented was barely touched. No games for you, or at least some legless bug-eyed avatars in the manner of Zuckerberg. Instead, endless flying windows. How so?
I remember how Jobs showed the first iPhone. “It’s three things: the big-screen iPod with touch controls, the revolutionary mobile phone, and the internet communicator.” Tim Cook did not chew on the killer features of Vision Pro in the same way, but they are easy to calculate. These are working with documents, watching videos (including stereoscopic 3D) and communication.

Vision Pro: An Infinite Screen

It turns out that the main feature of the helmet is that it becomes an “infinite” screen, replacing about six monitors piled on top of each other or a 70-inch TV. As a person who carries a monitor with him on any trips in order to work normally, I can say that this is a great opportunity.
The Apple Vision Pro helmet is a revolutionary product that is set to change the way we interact with augmented and virtual reality. With its 23 million pixels, desktop-caliber processor, custom lenses, and unusual headphones, the Vision Pro is a product unlike any other. Its main feature is its ability to become an “infinite” screen, replacing multiple monitors or a 70-inch TV. It is perfect for those who need to work on the go, and its $3,500 price tag is well worth it.
