OpenAI recently announced the addition of beta functionality to its paid version of ChatGPT Plus. This includes web browsing and more than 70 third-party plugins. The model behind the intelligent chat tool is still based on ‘old’ data, but this new functionality should help make it more up-to-date. Plugins from Slack, Expedia, Shopify, Wolfram Alpha, Instacart, Klarna Bank and OpenTable are now available in beta. OpenAI also announced how it will introduce new functionality in ChatGPT in the future, starting with an alpha test phase for selected users, followed by a beta for all users who have opted in and, finally, the final release for all users.
