Twitter has permanently shut down its free APIs, leading to many problems for apps and websites, according to Engadget. Last week, Twitter announced it was changing its strategy for developers and that free access would be stopped within 30 days. This has now taken effect, causing issues for WordPress, Mashable, Substack, Echobox, Tweet Self, TweetDeleter, and other services.
The social media giant’s action shows that, despite the new Twitter subscriptions, many developers are still left out.
