Synology has announced the launch of their Plus series of SATA HDDs, designed to meet the reliability, endurance, and performance requirements of 24/7 storage in their entry-level and mainstream systems. The Plus series consists of four new models, three of which differ only in capacity. The HAT3300-4T, HAT3300-6T and HAT3300-8T all run at 5,400 rpm and have a sequential data transfer rate of 202 MB/s, while the HAT3300-12T model runs at 7,200 rpm with a data transfer rate of up to 240 MB/s.
These HDDs boast an impressive MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) of 1 million hours and come with a three-year warranty. With a workload of 180 TB per year, they are ideal for supporting multiple users simultaneously.
Synology’s Product Manager, Peggy Weng, said: “Designed with Synology systems in mind, these drives are ideal for users who need reliable storage capacity, including the convenience of DSM firmware updates and one-stop support for all system issues.”
The drives are compatible with Synology NAS systems, allowing for effortless firmware updates and support from the Synology support team in case of any issues.
