Salesforce to Increase Prices for Certain Products by 9 Percent
Salesforce to Increase Prices
Salesforce plans to raise prices for certain products by 9 percent as of August. This would include Tableau, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud and Industries. The new prices will apply to both existing and new customers. This would be the first time in seven years that Salesforce has increased its prices for these products.
Reasons for Price Increases
Experts cite inflation as the reason for the price increase, but also the disappointing turnover that Saleforce has to deal with. Other possible reasons for the price increase include recent major investments of more than $20 billion in AI functionality.
Salesforce isn’t the only software company to raise prices this year. Earlier, IBM, Microsoft, Oracle and SAP, among others, announced price increases for various services.
Salesforce is investing in generative AI applications to inject AI into the workplace. This investment is likely to help Salesforce stay ahead of the competition in the long run.
