Organizations often talk about ransomware, but they may not be aware of the true impact of an attack. For example, many organizations have an emergency plan posted at the entrance in case of a fire, which is regularly practiced, while few companies have and test a plan for ransomware. When ransomware strikes, it can take a long time for the organization to become operational again and cost more than necessary. It is uncertain if the organization will fully recover from the attack.
In a series of videos, Rubrik and we discussed the worrying current development. We interviewed Sander Kerkhoffs, Area Vice President Europe Central & North at Rubrik, a company that is increasingly focusing on cyber security and the fight against ransomware.
In the second installment of the triptych, we discussed how organizations respond when something goes wrong in the field of data security. We asked if backups are enough, if organizations know enough about the data they have, and if it is possible to fully recover from a ransomware attack.
