API security company Noname Security continues to find partners, this time announcing a partnership with IBM to further protect customers against software vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and design flaws. Research from Gartner shows that the explosive growth of APIs increases potential cyber targets, as APIs are located in an intermediate area within a network, where unforeseen cyber risks often occur. The integration of more and more applications with each other makes this existing problem relevant for almost the entire business community and government services.
IBM’s existing API Connect and DataPower solutions will receive a boost in API security thanks to the collaboration, according to the press release. The tools allow users to use advanced API management capabilities, automatically detecting APIs and providing insights into their behavior, helping organizations meet the requirements of the legislation regarding compliance.
Noname Security Co-Founder and CTO Shay Levi believes the collaboration will provide a best-in-class API security solution. “We look forward to working closely with IBM to help protect customers against growing API security threats.” Noname is making several announcements about collaborations this week, including the use of specialized Intel hardware for the acceleration of API processes.
