Famed hacker, writer, and security expert Kevin Mitnick took to Twitter to show off the new password-cracking rigs put together by KnowBe4. The former hacker, who spent five years in prison in the 90s, is a sought-after information security specialist, consultant, and speaker. Mitnick is currently the Executive Director of Mitnick Security Consulting and also works for KnowBe4 as the Chief Executive of Hacking. He recently shared on Twitter what their new system for cracking passwords looks like.
Mitnick writes that the “password cracker” consists of four servers, supported by twenty-four Ada Lovelace-based RTX 4090 graphics cards and six Turing-based RTX 2080s. This system will be used by the red team for their work.
