Apple Unveils New Operating Systems at WWDC23

Apple is set to unveil its new operating systems at WWDC23. While there won’t be any major, groundbreaking novelties, small changes should make the Apple experience even more pleasant.

macOS Sonoma: Widgets and More

The latest version of the desktop operating system will be named macOS Sonoma. While there are no major changes, the addition of moving screensavers and a new game mode should make the digital workplace clearer and more interesting.
One of the most exciting changes is the option to add widgets to the home screen. Widgets are already available on smartphones and tablets, and now they can be transferred to macOS if both devices are connected to the same WiFi network. Alternatively, users can search for the desired widget in the notification center.
The widgets will disappear into the background as soon as users open an app or website. Additionally, the new operating system will make it easier to give online presentations. With Presenter Overlay, users will remain visible in the picture for their presentation.

iOS 17: Personalized Communication

Apple has focused much of the iOS 17 update on the calling and texting options. Users can now personalize their own calling profile, with their photo or avatar appearing when they call someone. Voicemail can also be personalized with the option to leave a video message.
The improved search options make it easier to find messages quickly. Users can also reply with little effort by swiping over a message. The suggested words to write an answer should also be more useful. Finally, the Lock Screen can be personalized on the iPad.
