Frame Gets a Second Life as It Merges with Dizzion

Frame, a Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS) provider, has been sold to LLR Partners, an investment company that also owns Dizzion. The two companies will merge, making it one of the largest independent DaaS providers in the market.

Frame Evolves Under Nutanix

When Nutanix acquired Frame in 2018, the DaaS solution evolved to become a self-deployable service with a choice of Nutanix infrastructure, both on-premise and in the cloud, as well as various hyperscalers such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform.

Dizzion Offers Managed DaaS Solution

Unlike Frame, Dizzion is a managed DaaS solution. This means that the installation and management is completely taken out of the hands of an organization. Customers can choose from the IBM Cloud or one of the many Equinix data centers. Together, Frame and Dizzion offer customers much more choice and they can help each other to grow.
Nutanix will remain affiliated with Frame as a partner. Nothing will change for existing customers for the time being. Frame will continue to support Nutanix infrastructure. However, it does ensure that both companies can concentrate on what they are good at. Nutanix does this on a hybrid cloud infrastructure and Frame on delivering a good end-user computing environment.
We assume that Frame will also offer more support for on-premise environments in the near future or also managed available via Equinix. On the other hand, the technical knowledge within the Frame team of the hyperscalers can be used to make Dizzion available in more clouds.
Details about the spin-off and acquisition will not be made public, but all people involved in Frame will move to the new organization. For customers, this means that purchasing licenses or receiving support will continue in the usual way for the time being.
The future vision of the newly formed company is still somewhat uncertain, but the combination of Frame and Dizzion is sure to offer customers more choice and help both companies to grow.
