Confluent has announced new capabilities for Confluent Cloud to give customers confidence that their data is reliable and can be easily processed and securely shared. The data streaming specialist is launching a range of new features to secure data for decision making, including Data Quality Rules, Custom Connectors, Stream Sharing, the Kora Engine, and an early access program for managed Apache Flink.
Data Quality Rules, an extension of the Stream Governance suite, helps organizations easily solve data quality problems, so that data is reliable for making business-critical decisions. Custom Connectors, Stream Sharing, the Kora Engine, and the early access program for managed Apache Flink make it easier for companies to gain insights from their data on a single platform, reducing operational burdens and ensuring class-leading performance.
Shaun Clowes, Chief Product Officer at Confluent, praised the new features. “Real-time data is the lifeblood of any organization, but managing data coming from different sources in real-time and ensuring it is reliable is a huge challenge,” he said. “The new capabilities of Confluent Cloud solve these problems by providing a simple path to ensure that reliable data can be shared with the right people in the right formats.”
