Noname Security Introduces Active Testing V2 Service for API Security
Noname Security has recently announced the launch of their Active Testing V2 service, which companies can use to test all APIs for possible security errors. The tool is designed to help companies embrace a shift left strategy, which involves thoroughly testing applications and APIs for vulnerabilities before they go into production.
Underlying Functionality
Noname Security states that traditional testing tooling is often not suitable for testing APIs for vulnerabilities, which is why the Active Testing V2 service is so important. The service tests every API for security and offers full integration in the entire software development cycle. It is designed to be easy to use, so that every developer can handle it.
Active Testing V2 provides more security in the CI/CD processes and dynamic and static API specification analysis. It performs more than 160 security tests of known exploits for APIs in its testing process, including those from the OWASP API Top Ten. Furthermore, the tool supports all known major API types, including GraphQL.
Noname Security and IBM have recently announced a partnership to further strengthen API security. The partnership will focus on the development of a secure API platform, which will help companies to protect their APIs from malicious attacks.
The Active Testing V2 service is an important step in helping companies ensure the security of their APIs. By thoroughly testing APIs for vulnerabilities before they go into production, companies can prevent security issues from reaching the production cycle. The tool is easy to use, so that every developer can handle it, and it supports all known major API types, including GraphQL.
