The American Alta Labs has announced that it will supply WiFi and network switch products. The first deliveries of WiFi 6 access points have already started, while the Utah-based company also plans to start selling network switches in the third quarter.
Alta Labs describes itself as “new but experienced”. It speaks on LinkedIn about a background of 24 years of experience at parent company Soundvision Technologies (SVT). CTO Jeff Hansen speaks of an opportunity to shake up the market with new products, promising a high level of availability and features and technology that have “never been seen before”.
It is a new initiative from SVT, which traditionally focuses on audio hardware. A new direction, therefore, with a new name.
Product Line
Initially, the range starts clearly: Alta Labs offers an AP6 and AP6-Pro as WiFi 6 access points. These are connected to the Alta Labs Cloud Management Platform, which is also available in app form.
CEO Chase Harrison said: “Our commitment is to make connecting and managing your network easier than ever. Combined with our sales, service and support teams, we are exactly what the industry is looking for.”
The press release also makes a statement with the phrase “Real people work here”. The future will show how large the portfolio of the new company will eventually become.
