Noname Security has announced improved performance thanks to a partnership with Intel. The security company expects faster API responses by leveraging specific acceleration on Intel Xeon processors. Noname Security has been awarded the Accelerated by Intel label. Earlier this year, Intel outlined the program on a LinkedIn blog, which streamlines and automates the adoption of built-in Intel Accelerators and technologies to enable innovation and efficient scale.
Specifically, Noname Security software will use the built-in Intel Advanced Matrix Extensions (AMX) on 4th generation Xeon processors. This integration reduces the system requirements for Noname Security’s security solution. Noname Security and Intel are working together to enable more ‘generic operations’ by IT engineers. Noname Security CEO Oz Golan commented on the partnership with Intel, saying it is a crucial step in helping organizations secure APIs. “Intel’s technology expertise allows us to provide a best-in-class API security solution. It helps companies protect their most important data against advanced cyber threats.”
Noname Security states that customers can expect up to three times more performance with comparable or less consumption when using an Intel platform. Machine learning inference should be up to ten times faster, which is essential for API security. The solution is suitable for a range of environments, including hybrid, private and cloud, as well as on- and off-premise. The press release also mentions “new use cases” of 5G, satellite communications, military purposes and applications for security services.
Additionally, Noname and Wiz have joined forces to provide better cyber resilience.
