Noname Security and Wiz are joining forces to combine their expertise in API and cloud security, with the aim of enhancing customers’ cyber resilience.
According to the press release, the two partners are relying on research from investment company Battery Ventures, indicating that significant investment in enterprise security and automation is expected in 2022-23. Both depend on APIs, which enable an application to perform a function within an IT infrastructure.
It is not unusual for Noname and Wiz to enter into such a partnership. For example, Wiz collaborated with SentinelOne on cloud security and Noname partnered with AWS consultant Oblivion in 2022.
Interaction
Through the collaboration, Noname and Wiz promise a range of useful interactions between their services. Noname’s API Security Platform ensures that all aspects of API security are integrated, while Wiz’s service can quickly scan an entire cloud environment for potential risks. Noname processes the data generated by Wiz to provide an overview of the security level of all APIs in use.
With both tools, users can determine the impact of an API within the infrastructure. In addition, issues detected by Wiz can be addressed with Noname workflows. The partners also claim that data leaks can be identified and addressed more quickly by using both tools together.
