PagerDuty is leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) to solve IT problems faster. With AIOps, the company has launched a toolkit to make incidents more transparent by highlighting important data, which should reduce the amount of ‘noise’ by 87%. IT professionals often have to sift through a lot of data when monitoring applications and infrastructure, which can lead to problems being detected late or the cause of the problem not being clear.
PagerDuty’s solution works through a ‘Global Event Orchestration’ engine, which can make connections between data points and identify abnormalities. This can even enable self-healing, preventing the need for an individual to solve the problem. For more complex issues where automation is not enough, AIOps can provide historical examples of incident resolutions. AI can be beneficial in multiple ways, and the new toolkit is already compatible with PagerDuty’s existing offerings.
