PagerDuty is using artificial intelligence (AI) to solve IT problems faster. With AIOps, the company has launched a toolkit to make incidents more transparent by highlighting important data, reducing the amount of noise by 87%. IT professionals can be overwhelmed by the sheer amount of data when monitoring applications and infrastructure, which can lead to problems being detected late or the cause of the problem not being clear.
PagerDuty’s solution works through a Global Event Orchestration engine, which can make connections between data points and identify abnormalities. This can even lead to self-healing, where an incident is resolved without the need for human intervention. For more complex problems, AIOps can provide historical examples of incident resolutions, helping IT professionals on multiple levels. The new toolkit is already compatible with PagerDuty’s existing offerings.
