SearchInform Launches Franchise for Internal Security Outsourcing
In 2019, SearchInform launched a line of cybersecurity outsourcing of internal security. And in June 2023, the company is taking the next step in its growth by launching a franchise program, with the help of which it plans to conquer a growing market together with partners. The offer will allow the franchisee to quickly launch a promising information security business.
The founder of the company, Lev Matveev, spoke to Hacker about the terms of the franchise and how profitable it can be for partners.
What is Internal Security Outsourcing?
Matveev clarified that the term “IS-outsourcing” is used to refer to different services. “We are engaged in protecting business from internal threats: data leaks, work for competitors, forgery of documents, idleness of employees. All this and much more can be detected by our flagship product — the SearchInform CIB DLP system. In 2019, we started providing outsourcing services based on CIB, and last year we expanded the service – and all the features of our DCAP solution and the ProfileCenter employee profiling system are available for outsourcing.”
Why is the Market Ready for Internal Security Outsourcing?
Matveev explained that when the company first started, there was no such confidence that the market was ready for the outsourcing of internal security. “We have seen that many companies are interested in protection, but are not ready to buy software, equipment and hire a specialist on staff. For them, it was too costly and difficult. There was a hypothesis that the IS-outsourcing service would be in demand.
And then experience showed that the market is ready. Remote work in the covid 2020, an increase in the number of incidents in companies… Employers wanted to somehow control the work of employees at home. The next step is tightening data protection laws. Many factors came together. Now the market capacity, according to various estimates, is from 30 to 35 billion rubles a year.
Companies from the SMB segment are already actively using other services and are accustomed to outsourcing IT administration, development and maintenance. 1C. They already understand the risks associated with information security for their business, but at the same time they cannot assess the return on investment in information security. Information security outsourcing makes it possible to make modern security solutions and competent information security specialists available to small and medium-sized companies.
The service is also in demand in large businesses, where employees of information security departments are overloaded. It also happens that the company simply does not have the necessary expertise – and the management is ready to attract outside help. We also have such cases.”
Why Did SearchInform Decide to Launch a Franchise?
Matveev said that the decision to launch a franchise was a simple one. “Potential outsourcing clients are more than 200,000 small and medium-sized businesses. We do not have enough own resources to master such a market. And affiliate programs, franchises allow you to deliver an offer to a much wider range of companies.”
When asked if the franchisee will sell the service or provide it, Matveev replied, “Rendering is exactly the [thing].”
