Paessler has acquired the German company qbilon in order to expand its software suite with a solution that collects, analyses and optimises hybrid IT environments. Founded in 2019 by four former computer science students in Augsburg, qbilon provides IT automation services to BMW and companies in the facilities and manufacturing industries.
The amalgamation of Paessler’s offerings with qbilon’s services will enable customers to gain insights into the best options for management, cost management, security policy and more. qbilon’s services already integrate with Paessler’s PRTG platform and third-party services such as AWS and Azure.
According to qbilon CEO, the acquisition of her company is a logical step. “We look forward to providing our joint customers with comprehensive knowledge of their IT landscapes to ensure efficiency and save resources.”
Paessler’s CEO Helmut Binder sees the acquisition as an exciting milestone. “We want to give customers the visibility they need of their IT landscapes to optimise resources. Our corporate culture naturally coincides with that of qbilon, as do our goals. Both companies will benefit from the collaboration in development and technology, sales, marketing and operations.”
