A page related to the leak of Entrust data appeared on the site of the attackers.
Recall that on July 18, Entrust was subjected to a cyberattack, during which a cybercriminal hacked into the network and stole data from internal systems. At the time, Entrust did not confirm that it had been attacked by ransomware.
However, even then, AdvIntel CEO Vitaly Kremez was convinced that a well-known cyber-ransomware gang had attacked Entrust by buying access to the corporate network from network access vendors. And he was not wrong!
Information was received from the information security specialist Dominic Alvieri, who told BleepingComputer that the LockBit group had created a page on its website dedicated to leaking data that was stolen from Entrust. If you believe the statement of the hackers, all the data of the information security giant will be published on the evening of August 19th.
In their statement, the hackers said that they would leak all the data to the network at once. This suggests one thing – Entrust did not negotiate with cyber ransomware or simply refused to accept their terms.
BleepingComputer has contacted Entrust but has yet to receive any response to questions related to the LockBit attack.
