The company Intel has made corrections to the Bluetooth drivers (package Wireless Bluetooth) and Wi-Fi drivers from the installation PROSet / Wireless package, eliminating the known bugs. Users in either case are recommended to install update 22.10.0.
On Windows 10, Intel WiFi driver issues were causing a BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) error and frightening Device Manager warnings. Some users also complained (PDF) about unexpected disconnection when watching videos online.
Users of Bluetooth devices (wireless mice, keyboards, headphones, stylus) have mostly encountered (PDF) communication failures and destabilization. On some systems, Device Manager also showed a yellow exclamation mark – in particular, after restarting the device or waking it up from sleep mode.
There were also cases when the Dispatcher signaled a problem while the Bluetooth device was idle, and when it resumed work, removed it from the list. Intel mentions another possible scenario in its bulletin – a “No Advertisement” error after performing a BLE scan while the TruU application is running.
Refer to the respective company bulletins for the affected Intel wireless adapters.
