Cryptocurrency exchange ZB lost $4.8 million due to hacking. Withdrawals included 21 types of assets.
Cybersecurity company PeckShield has reported that more than $4.7 million in cryptocurrency was withdrawn from the ZB.com exchange as a result of a likely hacker attack.
The security researchers specified that the withdrawn funds included 21 types of assets, including MATIC, APE, SHIB, AAVE, USDT and USDC.
Approximately $3.6M in Ethereum (2.2K ETH) of the withdrawn funds is reportedly in one address and is likely to be sent to the TornadoCash Mixer.
Recall that on August 2, the ZB.com cryptocurrency exchange announced a temporary suspension of deposits and withdrawals.
According to the exchange, the reason for the restrictions was the sudden failure of some of the main applications. The exchange team also asked users not to deposit funds until the service is restored.
